Trails Update: April 11, 2025

It’s on!!!

After a false start in February, (I was riding trails in Cheakamus!) It looks like spring is here to stay! We’re still hunting for powder turns by day (20cm rule in effect) and roaming the valley bottom forest at night(-ish). Tall Michal and I have been inspecting, clearing (trees) and making plans for upcoming trail work. We once again ask riders to be patient as the snow melts… one tire track can really damage a saturated trail. A good rule of thumb is to AVOID trudging through snow to get “first tracks” on a trail...

Please DO report what you find out there (deadfall, water damage, boulders…) through Trailforks. It helps if you include a picture of the problem with your bike or dog in the photo (for scale/urgency) so that we know what equipment will be required.

Ps. Burning pallets in the middle of the road is BAD VIBES! Watch your tires out there…

The trail crew will get digging after Easter and our first trail night will be on May 6th on AM/PM.

See you on the trails!
